FINALLY UPDATED.... Wifi not that good at the Ihamba Lodge.

Chimpanzee tracking today at Kibale Forest National Park. It took awhile to find them but about 3 hours into our tracking (in the woods/jungle) we came across a few chimpanzees. Another fun yet exhausting adventure and so our quest to find Cesar and the Planet of the Apes is now complete.

Went back to our tented Lodge, cleaned up - had lunch and then departed Kibale Forest Camp.

Next destination is the more luxurious Ihamba Safari Lodge located in Queen Elizabeth National Park. When we get there in a few hours we'll maybe hang out at the pool/go swimming and definitely have some drinks.

2 HOURS LATER.......

*Just arrived at IHAMBA Safari Lodge - Wow very nice accommodations right off of Lake George - mountains all around us, another awesome netted bed, etc. The hotel staff has gone way out of there way to make us feel at home.  Welcome passion fruit juice & hot towels on arrival and a large fruit basket in our Safari Cottage.

Back at the room freshening up... Oh and they also told us that we can expect more hippos crawling around there tonight.... 😲

Just had a late candlelight dinner in the lodge (just Tara and I) overlooking Lake George. The dinner was the best yet since being in Uganda. I had a seasoned/grilled barbecue pork chops but it was a different kind of lightly based BBQ sauce. Excellent! Tara had grilled steak and seasoned vegetables. Also very good!

*Tomorrow we have a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park (more lions, elephants, buffalos, etc) starting at 6 a.m. and then another afternoon boat Safari along the Kazinga Channel at 2 p.m.- looking for Hippo's, Elephants, Crocodiles, and range of beautiful birds.

That's it for today....
