Well Tara and I finally made it! We are now officially on the continent of Africa afer 22 hours of traveling! Not fun!
*Specifically we are in the country of Uganda and in the city of Kampala which is the capital and has a population of nearly 3 million people. You can compare that to the city of Chicago.
They people here are extremely friendly & accommodating and work hard for their money. They bend over backwards and only expect a 5 or maybe 10% tip at the most. There is no welfare system here so if they don't sell or produce they don't eat/they don't live. This is true of many countries.
Anyway enough of that - we arrived at the Speke Resort outside of Kampala - off of Lake Victoria at about 3pm.
So while Tara is resting I'm enjoying a nice Uganda lager by the name of the Nile Special. 20 oz beer for $2 U.S. dollars! Even though we are tired our guide and new friend Richard offered to take us into the city tonight to experience some real Ugandan culture. A nice singing/dancing dinner show by locals at an outdoor Amphitheater in Kampala. That's where we where we just got back from and I will upload photos from the app and some video tomorrow. Good night all!
