A safari boat ride up the River Nile, Hiking to the top of Murchison Falls, Tons of Hippo's, Lots of Crocs, more Giraffes, and one pesky baboon that snuck up behind me and jumped on top of our safari truck....

*It was an exhausting sweaty hike to the top of Murchison Falls by the way but well worth the view! Some locals here say that Murchison Falls is the beginning of the Nile River....

*Did I mention that damn Baboon?

Also, last night once again we were visited by some hippos keeping us up all night grunting snorting eating and taking large disgusting dumps! It stunk bad! Also had some monkeys on our porch at around 4am and on top of the roof of our tent.

Checked out of Murchison Falls Lodge earlier and now headed towards the Kibale Forest National Park. A 6 hour trek to get there. *Tomorrow is a big day as we go tracking for chimpanzees in the park!

*By the way we just happened to pull off to the side of the road in the middle of nowhere to have a boxed lunch. Won't be long before we get to Kibale forest lodge.

Good bye for now....

Wow what a crazy past couple of days. Yesterday at the ziwa Rhino sanctuary and right now at Murchison Falls National Park doing our very first game drive. All kinds of animals here from giraffes to warthogs to many different species of the Antelope family, water bucks, other kinds of buffaloes and we even got to see a pride of lions! Oh and some hippos too. Speaking of hippos when we checked into our lodge tent late afternoon yesterday they put us in it luxury tent approximately 40 feet off of the Nile River at Murchison Falls Lodge.  It with a few guests that night in the form of two giant hippos. We heard them all night long snorting stopping and walking about they even came within a few feet of our door. Hard to sleep when your heart is pounding and racing. Unbelievable to describe! Now we are headed back crossing the Nile River to our lodge for lunch. Later today we will take a boat Safari on the Nile up to Murchison Falls where we will climb to the top. Oh and there will definitely be tons of hippos on the boat Safari.
